Housing Needs Survey

West Bagborough Parish Council would like to establish the extent of housing need in the Parish and whether residents would support a small affordable housing development. Therefore, we are carrying out a housing need survey in partnership with Somerset West and Taunton Council (SWT). They will analyse the results of this survey and produce an independent report.

Parish Councillors will deliver a paper copy of the survey to your home during September along wih a pre-paid return envelope. There is also an online version of the survey for those who prefer to use that method. To access that online version please click on this link below:

Whichever way you choose to complete the survey it only needs to be done once for each household.

The closing date for returning the paper survey or completing the survey online is Monday 18 October 2021.

Your personal details and responses will be collated and managed by Somerset West and Taunton. The survey is covered by the SWT Privacy Policy, in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK Data Protection Act 2018. No personal identifying information will be shown in the report or be used for any other purposes.

Please take the time to fill in the survey. It will be a great help to the Parish Council and SWT Planning Dept when reviewing any applications for housing within the Parish. We are sure you agree that we don't want unnecessary development but at the same time want to actively support affordable housing for local parishioners and their families going forward. This survey is a very important part of understanding the housing need in the Parish.
